Membership Opportunities

The OMVC has three classifications for membership: Principal and Associate. Each type of member plays an important role in the OMVC as well as in the launch of mobile DTV.

Principal Membership

  • A Principal Member is any person who is significantly engaged in the business of owning, operating or representing broadcast television stations in the United States
  • Who is also a U.S.-based television broadcast station with licensing
  • Broadcasters who join the OMVC automatically become Principal Members

Associate Membership

  • An Associate Member is any person (including a corporation, limited liability company, partnership or other business entity) who represents a trade organization or interest group
  • To be eligible for Associate Membership a person must be substantially involved in issues of importance to the broadcast television industry and whose membership in the OMVC provides a distinct benefit to the fulfillment of the mission and purposes of the Coalition

MDTV Forum

  • A Forum member is any person (including a corporation, limited liability company, partnership or other business entity) that is not a Principal Member or an Associate Member
  • To be eligible for membership in the MDTV Forum, a person must be active in any of the following: a) equipment manufacturer; b) applications developer; or c) services provider
