During the 2011 NAB Show, thousands of broadcast industry executives will get their first glimpse at the latest Mobile DTV products now reaching retail stores as well as remarkable demonstrations of the flexible broadcast standard's future-forward capabilities. With the ability to transmit live breaking news, critical emergency alerts and favorite channels to millions of viewers with a single TV transmission, Mobile Digital TV is moving quickly from test mode to wide deployment with an eye on future capabilities such as electronic coupons, video-on-demand, and real-time integration with social media.
The Mobile DTV Pavilion in North Hall N4036 at the Hilton Walkway, co-hosted by the Advanced Television Systems Committee, the Open Mobile Video Coalition and the National Association of Broadcasters, will feature a variety of new consumer products being introduced this year for Mobile DTV reception, along with compelling technology demonstrations from well-known broadcast industry companies. Of special note, both of the mobile DTV broadcaster consortia – the Mobile500 Alliance and Mobile Content Venture – will have a presence in the Mobile DTV Pavilion.

- The broadcast industry's most innovative effort to garner new viewers -- mobile digital television (DTV) -- will be on full display at International CES® 2010. The Open Mobile Video Coalition, representing more than 800 TV stations across the country, will sponsor the CES Mobile DTV Tech Zone in the central hall of the LVCC. Consumer electronics retailers and manufacturers are invited to see the latest consumer devices that will enable viewers to watch their favorite live local and national TV programs wherever they are -- on portable DTVs, mobile phones, personal media players, portable computers, in-car screens and other devices. Leading manufacturers including LG Electronics, Samsung, Harris Corporation, and Dell, are expected demonstrate devices and transmission equipment bringing the excitement of mobile DTV to American consumers in 2010.
